Title: dtsa jupitar on ubuntu
Post by: Ben Buse on May 18, 2018, 12:20:29 PM
Hi,

I'm having trouble installing jupitar via IzPack on ubuntu 18.04. Two errors
(1) cannot find named resource: 'packs:Lang.xml' AND 'packsLang.xml_eng'
(2) exception in thread "IzPack -Unpacker thread" java.lang.ClassCastException

I'm running openjdk version 10.0.1

Has anyone else had this trouble & solved this?

Thanks

Bit of searching suggested there was a problem with java-9 and izpack. So I installed openjdk-8 and then izpack worked!

Now installed and running

Program works on openjdk version 10.0.1 (also called java-11-openjdk), but graphics are not quick right. Works best in openjdk-8.
