Title: Empirical PHA setup procedure

Can someone post the procedure for creating the EMPPHA.DAT table? Is it created manually, or is there some module that does it for you? And if manually generated, what is the format of the table? Thanks.

Just updating some of my empirical PHA. Now finding for LIF covering full range of K line elements As to Ca, that LN(keV) vs Bias wasn't linear. So looking in PFE Manual - I see in the emppha file can use either a single straight line fit, or two straight line fits, where an x-ray energy threshold is set to determine which is used. Also as I'm testing it on the offline PFE in simulation mode, I notice again from manual that in probewin.ini to use calculate empirical pha need to set UseEmpiricalPHADefaults=1

This is a feature we implemented a few years ago working with Paul Carpenter at Washington University. It's especially useful for setting up for an element that one has not previously configured.  But once a new element is all tuned up, I prefer to save it to the Element Setup database:

Then one can import the saved element setup with all its parameters: peak, PHA, backgrounds, etc. to get quickly going again.
