Title: Spinel-group Standards

Hello All,

Looking for a thread on these interesting little oxides. Decided to make one myself. I'm currently after a couple of end-member compositions A Hercynite (Fe2+Al2O4) and Magnesioferrite (MgFe3+2O4). I had heard Henrik Skogby may be the person to ask, but I've been unable to contact him in his retirement. Does anyone here have a tip? The key here is that they're as close to the end-member composition as possible.

Good news, everyone. I ended up getting in contact with Professor Skogby, and it sounds like he's found some materials I could use for reference in my workflow! Still interested in talking spinel, though!

Are these synthetic minerals?

If so, when you learn more about their source(s), could you post that information for us here?
