Title: default background positions
Post by: Ben Buse on March 17, 2015, 03:21:42 AM
When you create a new elment - where does it load the default background positions from - is there a file and is it possible to change these?

Thanks

Ben

Hi Ben,
Let's start with the obvious.  If you load a file setup, when get the off-peaks from the selected sample.  If you load a previously saved element setup from the element setup database (SETUP.MDB), you will get the saved off-peaks. I usually use one of these methods.

If you've never run an element before, the default off-peaks are calculated based on this expression and the SCALERS.DAT file parameters described here:

Of course one can adjust the off-peaks with a mouse click once you have a wavescan run on the element.
