Question:
Currently the scale bar in the Digitize Image window changes with the instrument magnification
Option 1: Leave the behavior just as it is
Option 2: Change the behavior so it doesn't change once an image is acquired
Option 3: Other (please provide an explanation)
Ken Severin pointed out that even after an image is acquired in the Digitize Image (or even the normal Imaging) window, the scale bar continues to respond to changes in the instrument magnification.
Of course since all digitized points are referenced to the stage coordinates of the acquired image, changes in the instrument magnification after the image has been acquired have no effect on the digitized positions, but the scale bar does continue to change in response to the current instrument magnification.
Please vote on your preference for the behavior of the scale bar in this situation.

OK, so it appears everyone wants the scale bar to be fixed to the image acquisition mag, but in looking at the code, it appears that that is already the case.
I cleaned up a few things but basically the scale bar is based on the image stage extents so it is not affected by the current instrument mag, so I'm not sure what Ken Severin is concerned about.
Anyway, the latest version of PFE has a few nice improvements in the Imaging and Digitize Image windows. For example, the spin button next to the current instrument mag display is now clickable and adjusts the instrument mag up and down as seen here:
