Hi Anette,
Check any of the PS FTP sites and it should be there.     :)

I'm just uploading a new version at the moment, so please wait a few hours before you go looking for it.

Edit by John: Ready to download now.

Perfect timing John, I've just been testing whether I can fully run my 8200 through PfE if my SunBlade goes down - turns out I can, very useful added bonus of having PfE. The filament saturation and gun alignment were the bits I thought I'd have trouble with.

Sorry, I can't see how to get to TestProbe.msi. I always update either direct from PfE and CalcZAF or use the link for PI, both methods just start the relevant downloads so I don't see the ftp site itself. How do I get to this?

Hi Mike,
Yes, sorry.  It's only available to beta testers at the moment.   We need to make sure it all works first.

But because you're such a cool dude, I'll add it to the PFE Dropbox and invite you.   8)

PS Even if your UNIX box goes down, you should still be able to operate all the instrument gun/column alignment functions from the embedded OS9 system, correct?

Absolutely!

The GunAlign, Monitor and Vacuum utilities have been recently tested and appear to all be working fine for the 8900/8200/8500 JEOL instruments.

Except for the JEOL 8900 which only has an analog vacuum meter and therefore has no interface for vacuum readings from software.  Please let me know if you see anything that doesn't appear correct.

Thanks to Heather Lowers, Dave Adams, Anette von der Handt, Paul Carpenter and Owen Neill.
