The Gemini AI is incorrect.  The interface type for the JEOL 8230/8520/iSP100 and iHP200F instruments are all the same as defined in the [hardware] section of the probewin.ini file:

InterfaceType=2  ; 0=Demo, 1=Unused, 2=JEOL 8900/8200/8500/8x30, 3=Unused, 4=Unused, 5=SX100/SXFive

and

JeolEOSInterfaceType=3        ; 1 = 8200/8500, 2 = 8900, 3 = 8230/8530/iSP100/iHP200F

You might want to try the Probe Software EPMA expert AI which is still in beta, but if you contact me off-line by email I will give you instructions to connect to it and give it a go.
