When you move to a new stage location on your sample, does it seem to you that...

Your viewpoint is stationary and the sample is moving underneath you.
The stage is stationary and your viewpoint is traveling over the sample.
Sometimes it seems like option #1, sometimes it seems like option #2
None of the above (please post your own perception with an explanation).

I'm interested in understanding the psychological "perspective" of EPMA users with regard to stage motion and on how "it seems to you" when moving to a new sample location on your EPMA instrument.
The only stupid question is the one not asked!

I wonder how many people have thought about this, gone on to the instrument and then made an assessment before answering the question. :-\
