Using Duplicate Elements in Probe for EPMA

I should have mentioned in the above post that the order of the duplicate elements in the standard vs. unknown samples doesn't have to be exactly the same. Only that the spectrometer number of the first duplicate element in both the standards and unknowns be the same.

In other words, one could have the spectrometer numbers of the duplicate Ti channels be 2, 3, 4, 5 and 1 for the standards, while the spectrometer numbers of the Ti channels in the unknowns be 2, 1, 3, 4 and 5.

Since the intensities of all duplicate elements are aggregated to the channel of the first duplicate element, as long as the spectrometer number of the first duplicate element in each sample setup is the same for both the standards and the unknowns, Probe for EPMA will be happy.
