NSS and windows 11

Does NSS work with windows 11?

I have NSS 4.1.85 Release on my computer and it used to work, tried to load it today and it won't load.

Hi Ben,

NSS is not formally blessed to work on Win11 (and NSS -Not Pathfinder- is discontinued) so it will ever be.
However, I checked on my Win11 laptop, and I can run NSS 4.1.xx.

What specifically happens when you try to run the app?

Without more info, my best guess would be to delete this file:
%appdata%\Thermo Scientific\NSS\NSSUserSettings.ini

That file only contains settings for how NSS appears or is displayed (e.g., spectrum color). Sometimes, it could become corrupted and cause NSS to not work.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply. It loads the splash screen and icon appears then disappears.

I've tried deleting .ini no luck,

Interestingly on trying to uninstall windows said couldn't find setup.exe so maybe it's become corrupted.

If I try to install it I get the message 'the setup has detected that no version of NSS is installed. The specified command-line options require that the application be installed to continue. The setup will now terminate"

Just to add, I've tried installing on a replacement computer and it works
