monte carlo depth ranges

Hi,

I have a question about the ranges in the report - shown below -

Can anyone confirm that these are calculated from the monte carlo simulation. I'm a bit confused as they are available for 'bulk simulation' but not 'inclusion in bulk' simulation, so I was wondering are they empirical calculations?

Thanks

Ben

Sorry this was a stupid question. I think its pretty clear these are generated from the monte carlo simulation. If you re-run the simulation the numbers change slightly. I'm guessing it was not applied to the other geometries as its less obvious the benefit of having depth of x-ray for mixed materials

This is a very nice format for outputted monte carlo depth ranges, allowing easy application, although in the next version it be nice to have the lateral ranges.

Anyone know how the volume is calculated - as a box, or subhemisphere, or something else - calculated from the density plots
