EMS 150T carbon coaters?

Someone I know is looking for a decent carbon coater, mostly for SEM characterization of petrographic thin sections.  She was set to buy a Cressington 208, but has been told that there is currently an 8 month (!) lead time.  She is looking now at an EMS 150T E Plus carbon evaporator.  Does anyone have any experience with these?
