Acquire automated images with different conditions

Is it somehow possible to acquire automated BSE images during a point measurement run with different beam current and size compared to the point measurements? I'd like to run monazites at 16kV 120nA 2um and collect BSE images at 16kV 10nA 0um. The flag "Use Sample Mag keV" does not seem to set nA and um?

Many thanks,
Karsten

Correction - the flag does already set the size to zero

Hi Karsten,
I think it would be pretty easy to add beam current and beam size to that automation option, let me look at it tomorrow or Friday.

The other option is to use the Stage app to acquire images.  The stage app will drive to each position sample (for position confirmation) and if the acquire images option is checked then it will acquire an image at that position.  The nice thing about this is that you can do your imaging after all the unknown quant data has been acquired.  The downside is that the images won't be in your PFE database for plotting the analysis positions on.

Actually that is just because I always assume that users would want the image acquired using a fully focused beam!  But I can certainly add the beam current as an option (I think). I'll look at it.

Hi John, many thanks for the quick reply - what you're suggesting with adding at least the beam current option to that flag should be perfect for what I'm trying to do.

I guess if it would set all of the options of the "digitized conditions", i.e. including things like image shift that then would be completely flexible and the name of the flag could be changed from "Use Sample Mag keV for Automated Imaging" to "Use Digitized Conditions for Automated Imaging"? Not sure how much more work that would be compared to just adding the beam current, but it might make that flag more useful in general?
