Here's a tip that might be useful after one modifies their monitor configuration.

Because Probe for EPMA saves the window positions and sizes (for windows that are resizable) for each user when they are closed, depending on the circumstances one might find that some PFE windows are unreachable after a monitor reconfiguration. Here is an example of these window positions saved to the C:\ProgramData\Probe Software\Probe for EPMA\Window.ini file:

These saved window positions can be reset for the current user by clicking this menu in Probe for EPMA:

After resetting the window positions for the current user, this message is displayed:

Because Probe for EPMA saves the window positions and sizes (for windows that are resizable) for each user when they are closed, depending on the circumstances one might find that some PFE windows are unreachable after a monitor reconfiguration.

I should also mention that there is a subtly regarding the re-setting of your window positions in Probe for EPMA, if you ever need to use this feature (because your monitor configuration has changed).

When one first starts Probe for EPMA, and you haven't yet opened a data file, the software is in a state where the current "user" is defined by the "UserName" keyword in the Probewin.ini file. For example:

UserName="Probe User"        ; enter default user name for single user labs

So, any window positions saved when Probe for EPMA is in that initial state are associated with that user (and that user only). For example, since the Acquire!, Analyze!, etc. windows cannot be opened when no data file is opened yet, those window positions won't get re-set. So, if you do re-set the window positions as described in the previous post, you will only re-set the window positions specifically associated with "Probe User", e.g., the X-Ray | X-Ray Database menu window and a few other windows.

To re-set most of the other window positions in Probe for EPMA, you must first open a probe database file. The user associated with that probe database, for example: "John Donovan", will then become the current user. Then, when using the Window | Reset Current Window Positions to Default menu, all these other windows (Acquire!, Analyze!, Automate!, etc.), will be properly reset to the center of your monitor screen.

Alternatively, you can reset ALL the window positions in Probe for EPMA for ALL users, by simply deleting the WINDOW.INI file (as shown in the previous post). This file can be found in the C:\ProgramData\Probe Software\Probe for EPMA folder.  All window positions will then open initially in the center of the monitor screen and can then be re-positioned and re-sized as necessary.

Hope that makes sense.
